The Pitmaster

Our pitmaster Mark Little has a rich history of cooking and living in Winston-Salem. Born in Winston-Salem, NC Mark comes from a long line of cooks. His father and Grandfather worked together at Williams & Company Meat Market at the Downtown City Market in the 1920's and 30's. His Uncle cooked in several downtown restaurants starting at the age of 13.

His Grandmother cooked and served several meals out of her home during the Great Depression. With all that history, it seems only right that Mark returns to Downtown Winston-Salem for a restaurant venture of his own. Learning most of his techniques from his Mother who learned from his Grandmother, and along with many other influences, Mark has kept alive his passion for cooking through the years.

For the past 5 years Mark has had his own personal cooking service, "Little by Little Specialities." He tantalizes his clients with a variety of slow cooked meats and delicious homemade sides. Mark is now bringing his own style and flavors back to Downtown Winston-Salem at Bib's Downtown. Come try his own blend of dry rubs and sauces and discover our taste is "Not Eastern, nor Western, It's Bestern!"
